Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE is seeking a Fleet Operations Technician in San Francisco to support daily vehicle operations for autonomous vehicle testing. You will prepare and inspect vehicles, organize equipment, and assist with software/hardware verifications to ensure readiness for operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Mechanical aptitude or technical experience is highly preferred.
• Automotive trade school or Associate Degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for daily operations.
• Clean and organize vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Charge electric vehicles and supporting equipment.
• Move vehicles and equipment between operational locations.
• Complete vehicle readiness inspections and documentation.
• Support inventory organization and spare parts management.
• Launch and verify software and hardware systems before vehicle deployment.
• Troubleshoot basic operational issues and escalate when necessary.
• Assist during vehicle recovery and incident response activities.
• Assist with light mechanical tasks including: Fluid checks; Basic part replacements; Wiring inspections.
• Assist with testing operations, traffic control, documentation, and support vehicle driving
