PlusAI Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist to serve as the right-seat safety and testing operator for autonomous trucks. You will execute structured test missions on closed courses and public roads, working closely with engineering to validate vehicle performance and surface issues with precision.

This hands-on, mission-critical role requires strong driving experience on U.S. roads, AV testing knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of driving experience on U.S. roads.
• Experience with AV structured testing across development, release, and production testing.
• Ability to read a structured testing mission plan and execute it independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Ride as the right-seat operator on all mission types, recording and summarizing in-vehicle performance.
• Set up complex test missions and execute daily missions.
• Deliver detailed, objective feedback on test results for in-house applications, at high and granular levels.
• Provide detailed mission debriefs to engineering teams following debrief processes.
• Communicate troubleshooting steps through our support systems.
• Follow existing processes precisely and consistently.
• Exercise sound judgment and know when to decline a test.
• Speak up promptly when issues arise, in person or via internal apps.
• Escalate testing issues through proper channels and stop tests when needed.
• Stay open to tasks beyond core duties as priorities shift.
• Collaborate with engineering to conduct field experiments.
• Independently operate PlusAI vehicles on closed courses and public roads.
• Represent PlusAI professionally in public interactions.
