Job summary

truckingpeople in California is seeking experienced Commercial drivers for our on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing project. You will help ensure safety, maintain vehicle readiness, and participate in software and hardware tests to advance the system.

You will collaborate with engineers and operations teams, document observations and anomalies, and provide feedback to improve performance. Shifts include AM 7:00–15:00 and PM 14:30–22:30, seven days a week, with day and night coverage.

Qualifications

• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Ride-share experience is a plus.
• Clean driving record and basic vehicle knowledge.
• Ability to drive 4–8 hours daily.
• Strong communication and safety adherence.
• No past 12 months violations or criminal record.
• Ability to work onsite in Mountain View and San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
• Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
• Collaborate with engineers, providing feedback to enhance system performance.
• Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.

We are looking for experiencedCommercial drivers for our on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, to be at the forefront of turning the company's vision into reality.

In this role, you'll always ensure safety, maintain vehicle readiness, complete software and hardware tests, and represent our client's brand as an ambassador to the public. You'll also assist and interact with multiple teams across the company, from computer vision, infrastructure, and sound design to strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations.

We're looking for commercialdrivers who are disciplined, team players. Working in this role will give you the opportunity to learn vehicle and personnel operations. You'll have a front-row seat to the operational complexities of realizing autonomous mobility and the chance to contribute to the future.

Shifts:
AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
PM Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
7 days a week

Day to Day Operations as a Commercial Driver:

Requirements

• Basic vehicle knowledge with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving for extended periods (4–8 hours per day)
• No moving violations within the past 12 months, DUIs, or criminal record
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and strict safety guidelines
• Ability to work onsite in both Mountain View and San Francisco.
