Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking undergraduate interns to work onsite in the Pathfinder Technologies Group in Albuquerque. You will contribute to autonomous systems research, developing software and algorithms, and integrating hardware for flight platforms. Mentoring will be provided, and the team welcomes diverse STEM majors.

The program requires full-time undergraduate status with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and U.S. citizenship for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate program
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Able to work up to 25 hours/week during the academic year and up to 40 hours/week in summer
• U.S. citizenship for security clearance requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and software for autonomous systems
• Code across levels from high level to assembly
• Integrate processors (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, GPU) into flight hardware
• Generate trajectories and analyze test data
• Model and simulate dynamic systems
