Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to own definition, integration, verification, and failure analysis of autonomous flying robots. You will work across electronics hardware, sensing, and real-time AI software to ensure product integrity.

In a fast-paced environment, you will define system requirements with product teams, verify performance, triage issues, and analyze flight telemetry to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in defining, designing, testing, and delivering reliable electro-mechanical systems.
• Systems engineering mindset to solve cross-domain problems (mechanical, electrical, software).
• Test bring-up and verification for system integration.
• Knowledge of reliability principles and physics of failure.
• Python and SQL for data analysis and scripting.
• Strong communication of hardware/systems reliability across teams.
• FAA Part 107 certification encouraged within 60 days for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Define comprehensive system requirements with product teams.
• Guarantee system performance and integrity through architecture reviews.
• Define and implement cross-functional system behaviors and telemetry.
• Perform bring-up and performance verification during new product introduction.
• Triage and resolve cross-functional issues across mechanical, electrical, embedded, autonomy domains.
• Analyze flight telemetry and field data to inform prognostic maintenance.
• Develop tests infrastructure and risk tracking processes.
