Job summary

Battelle is seeking a Test Engineer, Autonomous sUAS Systems, to lead planning, execution, and analysis of testing activities for advanced autonomous unmanned aerial systems. This role will be based in Beavercreek, OH or Columbus, OH.

The position requires strong test engineering background in aerospace/robotics, proficiency with Python/C++/MATLAB, and experience with sUAS autonomy environments. Occasional travel and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Experience developing verification and validation strategies for complex systems.
• Proficiency with Python, C++, MATLAB, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of test plans for autonomous sUAS systems and payloads.
• Design laboratory, simulation, integration, environmental, and field tests.
• Evaluate performance against requirements and objectives.
• Develop traceability from requirements to validation results.
• Mentor junior engineers and interface with government customers.
