Job summary

Red Oak Management Co. Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking a full-time Site Manager for Affordable Housing to oversee two properties. This highly autonomous role requires discretion, strong resident relations, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and accounting teams.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm. You will welcome residents, hand keys, manage move-ins and move-outs, process rent, and ensure properties look good for current and prospective residents.

Qualifications

• Affordable housing experience.
• Fair housing training or certification.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to monitor two properties and perform on-site visits.
• Sound judgement and discernment for autonomous work and escalation to ownership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations at two properties to ensure conditions meet residents' needs.
• Welcome new residents, provide keys and move-in checklists, and help them settle in.
• Coordinate with maintenance and accounting teams on move-out activities.
• Communicate with residents, assist with submitting maintenance orders, rent payments, and related tasks.
• Turn rent payments into the regional office and coordinate with the maintenance supervisor.
