Job summary

Attis is building autonomous, defense-focused satellite software from a seed-stage startup location in the United States. This role centers on end-to-end flight software architecture, development, and collaboration across avionics, propulsion, and GNC teams to realize orbital capabilities.

You will own the flight software stack, ground control tools, and testing frameworks in a fast-paced, on-site environment, with equity potential as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in systems, mission operations, or embedded software development.
• Experience with space systems or safety-critical embedded systems.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to work 100% on-site with an engineering team in an early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and integrate the flight software stack end-to-end.
• Build ground-side mission operations software for real-time planning, telemetry, and commanding.
• Write embedded real-time software for flight computers, sensors, and actuators.
• Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and GNC teams to define software interfaces and data models.
• Establish flight software CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and SIL/HIL simulation environments.
• Support software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, environmental testing, and flight campaigns.
