Job summary

Sobe Innovative Rehab is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in Fort Lauderdale. You will manage a full caseload in an Assisted Living Facility, using your clinical judgment within a supportive, collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes autonomy, a 9:00 AM-5:30 PM daytime schedule, and care that helps older adults maintain independence and safety at home and in their communities.

Qualifications

• Licensed and practicing OTA with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience treating older adults in ALF settings.
• Ability to complete documentation within 48 hours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload and provide individualized occupational therapy interventions.
• Primarily treat patients in an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) setting, with occasional home/community-based visits as needed.
• Manage your patient schedule within the 9:00 AM-5:30 PM workday.
• Help patients improve independence with daily activities, mobility, safety, and functional skills.
• Address areas such as self-care, transfers, balance, coordination, strength, and adaptive strategies.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team.
• Complete documentation within 48 hours.
• Communicate with patients, families, caregivers, and community clinical staff.
• Exercise clinical autonomy while having access to support from experienced therapists.
• Help patients achieve greater independence and quality of life.
