Job summary

Next Level Urgent Care, LLC in Katy, TX seeks a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide primary and episodic care within a collaborative clinical team. You will support patient flow, perform physical exams, and order tests as needed to guide management and care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Board certified as a nurse practitioner with current state licensure.
• DEA licensure with no restrictions.
• Clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or ambulatory clinic setting.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Follow protocols which provide medical authority when such are indicated in providing care.
• Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentation.
• Select tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
• Define/document differential diagnoses and list most likely diagnoses.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care, in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Prescribes dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
• Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Learns computer software programs; enters and maintains accurate data and statistical information for reports.
