Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner with current Texas licensure.
• DEA licensure with no restrictions.
• Clinical experience in emergency/urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Follow protocols and clinical authority when providing care.
• Perform complete physical exams and assessments for urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentations.
• Order tests and procedures to augment findings.
• Define/document differential diagnoses and plan.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with supervising physician.
• Interpret data and results to determine course of action in collaboration with physician.
• Prescribe medications with appropriate dosages and patient instruction.
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships.
• Learn and use computer software for accurate data entry and reporting.
