Applied Intuition in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to ensure safe deployment of autonomous mining and industrial systems. You will develop machine-level safety cases, perform safety analysis, and work across vehicle functions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in engineering and 3+ years of safety experience, particularly with ISO 26262 standards. We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $225,000 annually along with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of system safety experience focused on ISO 26262 Part 6.
• Good understanding of vehicle and machine control systems.
• Experience supporting verification and validation activities for safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine-level safety cases for autonomous mining vehicles.
• Perform safety analysis and derive Machine Safety Requirements (MSRs).
• Support development of validation strategies for machine-level demonstrations.
