Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking personnel to support autonomous mining operations at our Bagdad, AZ site. The role involves assisting with operational changes to optimize autonomous activities, escorting personnel and equipment in the AOZ, and performing fuel dock duties and inspections.

Ideal candidates have at least six months in mining or related operations, with a high school diploma or GED. A non-standard schedule may apply, and there are comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly pay

Responsibilities

• Assist with pit inspections, audits, and relocating trucks, and operate heavy equipment within the AOZ as required.

What You Will Do

You support autonomous mining operations and assist with operational changes to optimize autonomous activities within the mine. You escort personnel and equipment within the Autonomous Operating Zone (AOZ) and perform duties at the fuel dock, including fueling haul trucks, conducting inspections, executing mode changes, replacing data loggers, and performing master resets. You assist with the safe movement and relocation of shovels and drills by establishing and maintaining exclusion zones, escorting and spotting equipment, supporting cable, hose, and trailing equipment management, and coordinating with operations, maintenance, and autonomous teams. You also assist with autonomous mining duties such as pit inspections, audits, and recovering and intervening with trucks, may operate heavy equipment within the AOZ, and perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
