Zusammenfassung

Blue Origin is seeking a Systems Engineer to specify, integrate, and bring up automated stations, tooling, and robotic work cells that turn production lines into an integrated autonomous factory. You will define automation requirements, select equipment, and lead station bring-up from concept through qualification, partnering with design engineers on DFM/DFA to ensure manufacturability.

Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, and industrial controls, plus Python and C++, is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–4 years of engineering experience with automated manufacturing equipment or systems.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, industrial controls, and robotic systems.
• Experience specifying, integrating, or commissioning automation hardware.
• Ability to read and produce mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and interface documents.
• Familiarity with robotics workflows and automation validation; Python and C++ skills.

Aufgaben

• Define automation requirements and concepts of operation for factory stations.
• Design and integrate robotic work cells, tooling, fixtures, and end effectors.
• Specify and review PLC, controls, and safety architecture with controls engineers.
• Lead equipment selection and vendor evaluation for capital automation.
• Develop station layouts, material flow, and interfaces between cells and operators.
• Lead installation, commissioning, and bring-up of automated stations on the floor.
• Collaborate on DFM/DFA to ensure manufacturability and automation-readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues and document requirements, interfaces, and configurations.
