Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Safety Engineer to ensure autonomous machinery safety by design and deployment. You will review cross-disciplinary designs, lead hazard analyses, and define verifiable safety requirements for real-world operation, coordinating with software, electrical, and mechanical teams.

The role emphasizes site safety, risk reduction, and development of verification plans, with travel to customer sites and ongoing safety documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum three years of engineering experience with safety responsibility in industrial environments.
• Five+ years of relevant safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review designs (mechanical, electrical, controls, software) for safety compliance.
• Perform hazard and risk analyses (HARA, STPA, FMEA, FTA).
• Derive safety requirements and ensure traceability and verification.
• Develop safety verification plans and review results.
• Maintain safety documentation and safety cases.
