Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks engineers and robotic specialists for the Tactical Recon & Strike team to advance drone platforms from concept to operational systems. You will rapidly develop, test, and deploy autonomous aircraft, integrating software, hardware, and sensors for fielded fleets.

The role emphasizes expedient prototyping, rigorous testing, and collaboration with operations to meet warfighter needs with secure, high-performance autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ardupilot/PX4
• Experience with RC systems
• Part 107 operator
• Willingness to travel (<30%)
• Understanding of Aerodynamics, IMUs, actuators and how they relate to performance
• Experience with data analysis, rapid prototyping and early-stage deployments
• Hands-on build and prototyping of complex robotic systems
• 3D printing, soldering and component assembly
• Ability to engage with mechanical, electrical, firmware, sensors and robotics software leads
• Willingness to travel on short notice for operations

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution from vision to prototyping and testing
• Develop and own surrogate aircraft to test algorithms in live flight
• Create systems for expeditionary operation and intuitive setup for warfighters
• Collaborate with SMEs and Business Development to close gaps in capability
• Work at the intersection of software, hardware and testing to craft system architecture
• Support prototype and low-rate production test efforts
• Assist in remote troubleshooting and operation of deployed systems
• Prepare mission cards and plan flight missions to meet requirements
