Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Ground Test Operator to support flight testing of autonomous delivery aircraft in a high-tempo environment. You will prepare test packages, label and load them through kiosks and infrastructure, and move aircraft between docks and maintenance areas.

The role requires outdoors work and the ability to work multiple shifts; candidates with aviation, UAV, or robotics experience are preferred. Travel to remote sites may be required up to 30% of the time.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures in a safety-critical environment.
• Ability to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to work any shift and any day of the week to support continuous flight test operations.

Responsibilities

• Support execution and validation of operational testing for Zipline systems by preparing, labeling, and processing test packages for partner validation and loading them through kiosks and Zipping Point infrastructure.
• Move Zip aircraft safely around the test site between docks, operational areas, and maintenance facilities; install, inspect, and maintain Zipping Point Autokiosk systems.
• Assist with large-scale flight test campaigns, potentially serving as Visual Observer, Zipping Point Operator, or Technician, and participate in deployment to mobile test sites.
