Job summary

Zipline, the world’s leading drone delivery company, is hiring a hands-on Flight Test Operator to execute high-volume flight testing that proves safety, reliability, and readiness of Zipline’s aircraft and delivery systems.

You will run repeatable missions across diverse profiles at Zipline test sites and collaborate with reliability engineering, software, hardware, safety, maintenance, manufacturing, and field operations to turn results into improvements.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 certification required at joining.
• Experience piloting drones or manned aircraft.
• Demonstrated aeronautical decision making and accountability in go/no-go decisions.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume flight test campaigns as Remote Pilot in Command.
• Validate system performance through ground and flight tests.
• Troubleshoot and repair software and hardware on-site.
• Summarize test results with qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Escalate anomalies and drive containment with engineering and safety.
• Improve site safety and SOPs to prevent repeat failures.
• Support throughput and data quality improvements in test operations.
