Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics-related field.
• Must be graduating between August 2026 - June 2027.
• Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week.
• Hands-on experience building or writing software for a real-time simulator to develop autonomous systems and HMIs.
• Research experience in Autonomous Vehicle Technology, Connected Vehicles, Robotics, or HMI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Develop immersive user experience simulation solutions for automated driving-enabled vehicles and robotic systems.
• Create tools to aid in the development or deployment of human-vehicle interface solutions.
• Conduct user studies to enable evidence-based decisions about in-vehicle interfaces.
• Participate in government-funded research work.
• Document research through internal and external publications.
