Job summary

Waymo in Mountain View, CA, is offering a hybrid on-site internship in the Perception team. You will design and implement state-of-the-art multi-modality perception models for autonomous driving, including camera/radar/lidar data and 3D object detection and tracking.

As a PhD student or master's student, you will train and evaluate ML models on large-scale Waymo driving data, gain experience with scalable ML infrastructure, and collaborate with teams across Alphabet.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD or master's program with publications in relevant field.
• Proficient in Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Experience with multimodal perception is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art multi-modality perception models.
• Train and evaluate ML models on large-scale Waymo driving data.
• Gain experience with large-scale ML infrastructure in a team setting.
