Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking graduate interns to contribute to autonomous driving software and data pipelines. You will design and build multimodal data pipelines, prototype Vision-Language Model workflows, and help evaluate model performance in real-world driving scenarios.

The role is hybrid onsite in Mountain View, CA with competitive hourly compensation and benefits. Basic qualifications include pursuing an MS or PhD in CS/Robotics/ML, strong Python or C++ skills, and experience with data analysis

Qualifications

• Pursuing MS or PhD in quantitative/technical field such as CS, Robotics or ML.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++.
• Experience with data analysis, SQL, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Design and build multimodal data pipelines in Python or C++ that combine sensor data and map data for ML models
• Prototype and iterate on Vision-Language Model workflows to detect and categorize driving scenarios
• Build ground-truth evaluation datasets and measure model precision/recall
• Integrate labeling pipelines into data storage and simulation testing workflows
