Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering/computer science field.
• Focus on robotics, autonomous systems, ML/DL/RL/LLM, or simulation preferred.
• Prior internship or project experience in data analysis or automotive systems is a plus.
• Strong academic standing (e.g., GPA 3.0+).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop and validate vehicular and sensory models and algorithms related to autonomous vehicle safety.
• Assist with analysis of on-road driving data and identification of safety trends or issues.
• Support simulation of real-world driving scenarios to test and validate AV systems.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions and contribute ideas toward improving safety and reliability of AV systems.
• Prepare and communicate findings and technical updates to teams across the U.S. and Japan.
