Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Data Collection Driver to operate test vehicles, collect real-world data, and support engineers with observations. You will drive 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, perform vehicle checks, and help manage data and storage. Prior driving experience in a commercial field and a valid license are required; ADAS/AV knowledge is a plus, not mandatory. Real-world data is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in a commercial driving role (Uber/Lyft/delivery or similar).
• Clean/excellent driving record and ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening.
• Experience with ADAS or AV tech is a plus but not required.
• Basic familiarity with managing digital files or data storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, abiding by safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
• Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies from test runs.
• Collaborate with engineers, providing feedback to enhance system performance.
• Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.
