Job summary

The Vehicle Operator - Data Collection role is a full-time on-site position in Sunnyvale/San Francisco area, focused on collecting data from test vehicles and ensuring safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include driving predefined routes, inspecting vehicles, supporting data collection software, and communicating findings to engineering teams to improve system performance. Must have a clean driving record and 3+ years of professional driving experience.

Qualifications

• Basic vehicle knowledge with a clean driving record.
• At least 3 years professional driving experience. (Proof of 3 years licensure)
• Comfortable driving for extended periods (48 hours per day)
• No moving violations within the past 12 months, DUIs, or criminal record
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and strict safety guidelines
• Ability to work onsite in both Sunnyvale and San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for 48 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address any maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
• Accurately dcument observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
• Collaborate with engineers, providing valuable feedback to enhance system performance.
• Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.
