Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking an AI Researcher to build agents that translate offensive knowledge into defensive actions across EDR, firewalls, IAM, and policy controls. You’ll apply or stage changes in customer environments and verify fixes by re-running attacks, with a real outcome signal and large prior test data.

The role focuses on end-to-end responsibility in a 0→1 environment, with production security posture impact and collaboration across attack engineers, detection engineers, product, and infra

Qualifications

• Strong ML engineering experience with production AI systems.
• Hands-on with deep learning models and PyTorch in production.
• Experience evaluating open-ended tasks without clean labels.

Responsibilities

• Build reasoning systems mapping attack paths to concrete control changes.
• Turn pentest data into training/evaluation data.
• Design counterfactual experiments across test environments.
• Create reasoning layer over diverse policy models and APIs.
• Develop safety architecture for autonomous changes with audits.
