Job summary

My Health Onsite seeks an Autonomous APRN for a full-time position in Lecanto, FL. The APRN will assess, diagnose and treat patients, prescribe medications, and promote wellness in a center serving adults 8+.

Work involves patient education and comprehensive charting in EMR with a focus on preventive care. Responsibilities include performing physicals, ordering tests, documenting progress, and participating in DOT and worker's compensation exams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate APRN program approved by the Florida Board.
• Minimum 2+ years APRN clinical experience.
• Current Florida APRN license.
• Dispensing license or willingness to obtain one.
• DEA license.
• BLS certification.
• Autonomous APRN designation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and assess injuries/illnesses, including women’s health.
• Order and interpret standard tests to diagnose and treat.
• Collect and record patient data and history in EMR.
• Educate patients on illness, treatment, self-care and prevention.
• Document assessments, actions and treatment responses in patient records.
• Assist medical staff with procedures and treatments.
• Perform DOT physicals (DOT cert not required).
• Promote wellness education programs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Who We Are

My Health Onsite manages employer sponsored health and wellness centers. Our medical team takes time to build strong relationships with our patients. No one is rushed in and out, and no one is a "number." Patients (ages 8 and up) may access a range of medical services including a dispensary, wellness services, and treatment for acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Enjoy a relaxed pace of only 12-15 patients a day and never have to worry about insurance or billing. Our programs go beyond caring for the sick and injured - we make prevention our number one goal.

My Health Onsite providers are responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in the health center, as well as prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery, prevent future health issues and promote a healthier lifestyle. Providers must exemplify exceptional customer service to patients and empower them to take control of their own health.

Schedule

Monday 8a-7p, Tuesday 8a-7p, Friday 7a-6p

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses, including women’s health
• Order and interpret standard tests that will assist in diagnosing and treating patients
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination
• Educate patients regarding their illness and treatment, including self-care, prevention, and health maintenance
• Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record in EMR
• Assist the medical staff with procedures and treatments
• Perform DOT physicals (DOT certification not required)
• Promote wellness educational programs
• Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program approved by the Florida Board of Nursing
• 2+ years of clinical experience as an APRN, preferably in primary or urgent care setting
• Current and unrestricted APRN license (Florida)
• Dispensing license (Florida) or willing to obtain one (required for the position)
• Experience with DOT physicals preferreed
• Experience with worker's compensation exams
• DEA license
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Autonomous APRN designation is required
