Job summary

My Health Onsite in Lecanto, FL is hiring an Autonomous APRN for a full-time position at the Citrus County Employee Health and Wellness Center.

You will perform physical examinations, assess injuries and illnesses, order tests, educate patients, and document care in the EMR. DOT physicals and worker's comp exams are preferred. Current FL APRN license, dispensing license, and BLS required.

Schedule: Monday 8a-7p, Tuesday 8a-7p, Friday 7a-6p.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of an APRN program approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• 2+ years of clinical APRN experience, preferably in primary or urgent care.
• Current and unrestricted APRN license (Florida).
• Dispensing license (Florida) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients and assess injuries or illnesses.
• Order and interpret standard tests to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtain, compile and record patient data including health history and results.
• Educate patients on illness and treatment including self-care and prevention.
• Document assessments and care in EMR; assist with procedures and treatments.
• Perform DOT physicals (DOT certification not required) and promote wellness education.

Who We Are

My Health Onsite manages employer sponsored health and wellness centers. Our medical team takes time to build strong relationships with our patients. No one is rushed in and out, and no one is a "number." Patients (ages 8 and up) may access a range of medical services including a dispensary, wellness services, and treatment for acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Enjoy a relaxed pace of only 12-15 patients a day and never have to worry about insurance or billing. Our programs go beyond caring for the sick and injured - we make prevention our number one goal.

My Health Onsite providers are responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in the health center, as well as prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery, prevent future health issues and promote a healthier lifestyle. Providers must exemplify exceptional customer service to patients and empower them to take control of their own health.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses, including women’s health
• Order and interpret standard tests that will assist in diagnosing and treating patients
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination
• Educate patients regarding their illness and treatment, including self-care, prevention, and health maintenance
• Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record in EMR
• Assist the medical staff with procedures and treatments
• Perform DOT physicals (DOT certification not required)
• Promote wellness educational programs
• Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information

Experience with DOT physicals preferreed

Experience with worker's compensation exams

DEA license

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Autonomous APRN designation is required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program approved by the Florida Board of Nursing
• 2+ years of clinical experience as an APRN, preferably in primary or urgent care setting
• Current and unrestricted APRN license (Florida)
• Dispensing license (Florida) or willing to obtain one (required for the position)
