Job summary

My Health Onsite is seeking an Autonomous APRN for Port Saint Lucie, delivering care within the St. Lucie County Employee Health and Wellness Center. The role emphasizes thorough patient relationships, low patient load, and no charting at home.

You will assess, diagnose, and manage patients, prescribe medications, and guide health regimens and lifestyle changes to improve outcomes in a relaxed, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical APRN experience, preferably in primary/urgent care.
• Autonomous APRN designation required.
• Experience with DOT physicals is a plus (certification not required).
• Current Florida APRN license (unrestricted).
• Florida dispensing license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and treat injuries/illnesses, including women’s health.
• Order and interpret standard tests to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Collect and record patient medical data, health history and exam results.
• Educate patients on illness, treatment, self-care and prevention.
• Document assessments, actions and responses in the EMR with confidentiality.
• Assist medical staff with procedures and treatments.
• Promote DOT physicals and wellness programs.
• Maintain patient confidence and confidentiality of care information.

My Health Onsite Autonomous APRN -Full Time: Port Saint Lucie-3 days a week

Who We Are

My Health Onsite manages employer sponsored health and wellness centers. Our medical team takes time to build strong relationships with our patients.

No one is rushed in and out, and no one is a "number." Enjoy a relaxed pace of only 1-3 patients an hour, with administrative time included so you never take home charting again!

Patients (ages 8 and up) may access a range of medical services including a dispensary, wellness services, and treatment for acute illnesses and chronic conditions. You'll never have to worry about insurance or billing.

Our programs go beyond caring for the sick and injured - we make prevention our number one goal.

My Health Onsite providers are responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in the health center, as well as prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery, prevent future health issues and promote a healthier lifestyle. Providers must exemplify exceptional customer service to patients and empower them to take control of their own health.

Schedule

Port St Lucie Health Center: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7a-7p - occasional weekend coverage-33 hours a week

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses, including women’s health
• Order and interpret standard tests that will assist in diagnosing and treating patients
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination
• Educate patients regarding their illness and treatment, including self-care, prevention, and health maintenance
• Document all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record in EMR
• Assist the medical staff with procedures and treatments

Perform DOT physicals (DOT certification not required)

Promote wellness educational programs

Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program approved by the Florida Board of Nursing
• 2+ years of clinical experience as an APRN, preferably in primary or urgent care setting
• Current and unrestricted APRN license (Florida)
• Dispensing license (Florida) or willing to obtain one (required for the position)
• Experience with DOT physicals -certification not required
• Experience with worker's compensation exams
• DEA license
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
• Autonomous APRN designation required
