Job summary

Impellam Group on behalf of its client is seeking an engineer to collaborate with designers and package wiring harnesses in vehicles following design guidelines. You will support vehicle build events at customer sites and ensure DFm practices are embedded in the design process.

The role also focuses on driving cost reduction initiatives, documenting and coordinating engineering changes, and reviewing warranty claims for design improvements.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites and customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Work with designers to package wiring harnesses in vehicle using design guidelines.
• Support vehicle build events at customer site.
• Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidelines into the design.
• Support cost reduction initiatives.
• Specify, document, and coordinate engineering changes.
• Issue documentation to authorize design changes and track cost.
• Review warranty claims to identify design improvements.
