Job summary

IT Accel, Inc. seeks a hands-on Automotive Wire Harness Technician to join our team in Downey, California.

You will build, install, test and troubleshoot low- and high-voltage wiring harnesses for EV platforms, working directly with vehicles and electrical systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering and labeling wires, routing harnesses, installing connectors and performing various tests.

Qualifications

• Two years of wire-harness assembly or electrical integration experience required.
• Experience reading electrical schematics/wiring diagrams preferred.
• Automotive or commercial-vehicle exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify and repair automotive wire harnesses.
• Cut, strip, crimp, solder, terminate and label wires and cables.
• Route and install low- and high-voltage harnesses in vehicles.
• Install connectors, relays, sensors, switches and controllers.
• Read and follow wiring diagrams and harness drawings.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance and functional testing.
• Diagnose wiring and electrical-system issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams during builds.
• Maintain accurate assembly, testing and quality records.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Automotive Wire Harness Technician to join a growing company developing zero-emission commercial vehicles and electric powertrain systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with vehicles and electrical systems in a fast-moving environment. You will help build, install, test and troubleshoot low- and high-voltage wiring harnesses for EV platforms.

Location: Downey, California

Schedule: Full-time, onsite

Responsibilities

• Build, modify and repair automotive wire harnesses.
• Cut, strip, crimp, solder, terminate and label wires and cables.
• Route and install low- and high-voltage harnesses in vehicles.
• Install connectors, relays, contactors, sensors, switches and controllers.
• Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics and harness drawings.
• Perform continuity, insulation-resistance and functional testing.
• Diagnose wiring, connector and electrical-system issues.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams during vehicle builds.
• Maintain accurate assembly, testing and quality records.

Qualifications

• At least two years of wire-harness assembly, electrical integration or related hands-on experience.
• Automotive or commercial-vehicle experience strongly preferred.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Skilled with crimpers, wire strippers, soldering equipment, multimeters and electrical test tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on production and vehicle-build environment.
• Able to work onsite in Downey five days per week.

Preferred Experience

• Electric vehicles, battery systems or high-voltage components.
• Automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier or prototype vehicle experience.
• Low-volume vehicle production or custom vehicle builds.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar harness-manufacturing standards.
• Experience with 12V, 24V, 48V or high-voltage EV systems.
