6 Degrees Search is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality and support new product launches.

Key responsibilities include MIG, TIG, and resistance welding, defining welding parameters and standards, investigating defects with root-cause analysis, ensuring AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 compliance, and applying Lean Six Sigma to reduce

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development within a manufacturing setting. AWS certification preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office; strong weld procedure development and defect analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
• Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
• Investigate welding defects, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 industry standards.
• Conduct weld audits, support PPAP submissions, and develop PFMEAs and control plans.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.
