North American Stamping Group in Portland, TN, seeks an experienced Welding Engineer to develop, launch and continuously improve welding and assembly processes for automotive components. The role supports resistance, projection and robotic MIG welding equipment from planning through production.

You will partner with Maintenance to boost equipment reliability and with Production and Quality to meet safety, quality and output requirements.

Formación

• Engineering degree or related technical degree preferred.
• Three or more years of hands-on welding experience.
• Experience with resistance or projection welding and robotic MIG welding.

Responsabilidades

• Develop weld processes, parameters, equipment specifications, fixture requirements, cycle times and production readiness plans.
• Support equipment installation, trials, run at rate, process validation and handoff during launches and changes.
• Troubleshoot weld quality, robot/equipment faults, fixture issues and downtime with Maintenance/Production/Quality.
