Job summary

DARCARS of Silver Spring is now hiring an Automotive Valet. This position plays a critical role in customer satisfaction and the overall success of the company.

You'll be responsible for lane management and will perform a variety of tasks, ensuring customers are greeted warmly and their vehicles are managed efficiently. Ideal candidates will possess a valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, and a dedication to customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable, safe driving record.
• Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and converse comfortably with customers.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner.
• Greet every customer with a smile.
• Direct customers when parking or retrieving their vehicles.
• Assist with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles.
• Assist with efficient vehicle flow.
• Move client vehicles to and from the shop.
• Provide shuttle service to customers when requested.
• Maintain cleanliness of service area.
• Responsible for garbage removal.
• Comply with DARCARS policies and procedures.

For this role, you'll need:

• Valid driver's license and acceptable, safe driving record

• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
• Detailing experience is a plus
• Ability to operate manual vehicles is a plus

In this role, you'll:

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner

• Directs customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles
• Assists with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles
• Assists with efficient vehicle flow within dealership as service tickets are generated
• Assists Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehiclesto and from the shop andanything else they may need to complete the service visit
• Provides shuttle service to customers, when requested
• Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers
• Maintains cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary
• Responsible for garbage removal
• Cleans driveways and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
