UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Permanent Utility Worker in Chelmsford, MA to support the repair team and maintain trailer and equipment readiness.

The role involves operating a forklift, shuttling trailers, performing undercoat and paint tasks, decals, wash-downs, and basic repairs under supervision. Responsibilities include surface preparation for painting, unloading supplies, and collaborating with the repair team to develop necessary skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Experience with trailer handling or repair is a plus.
• Comfort with manual work and basic repairs under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move equipment and trailers.
• Shuttle trailers in and out of bays.
• Undercoat and paint surfaces.
• Apply decals to units.
• Wash trailers and dollies.
• Sandblast and prepare units for painting.
• Sand and prepare surfaces for paint.
• Unload supplies and equipment.
• Make small repairs to trailers, power equipment, and buildings.
• Collaborate with repair team and supervisor to develop required skills.

• Empty shop metal containers
• Unload supplies and equipment
• Make small repairs to trailer and power equipment as well a building
• Work with repair and/or supervisor to develop the skills which are required by a repairmechanic

Pay Range

For this union-represented posting, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions. The starting pay rate for this position starts at $31.38/hr.
