Job summary

RPM Partners in the United States seeks a Managing Director with deep automotive and manufacturing restructuring expertise to guide clients through high-stakes situations with hands-on operational and financial solutions.

You will lead complex engagements, advise on liquidity and transformation, and manage stakeholder negotiations while mentoring teams and developing new business across the automotive sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years in restructuring, turnaround, insolvency advisory, or performance improvement consulting.
• First-chair experience leading complex restructuring engagements.
• Significant advisory experience for automotive OEMs and suppliers.
• Deep stakeholder dynamics and multi-party negotiations knowledge.
• Strong financial analysis and operating improvement track record.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating complex financial/legal documents.
• Proven CRO-type advisory capabilities and client leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex restructuring, turnaround and performance improvement engagements in automotive/manufacturing.
• Serve as senior restructuring leader with lenders, sponsors, management, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Advise on liquidity, stabilization, restructuring strategies and business transformation.
• Drive strategic/financial decisions via analysis and negotiations.
• Oversee CRO-like cash flow, operations, communications, and turnaround execution.
• Mentor engagement teams and manage multiple client engagements.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and cross-sell opportunities in the market.
• Deliver thought leadership and exceptional client service in complex advisories.
