Job summary

McCandless Ford Meadville is seeking an experienced Certified Truck Technician to diagnose, service, and repair diesel vehicles in a family-owned dealership setting in Meadville, PA.

The position requires PA Safety and Emissions licenses (Emissions a plus), Ford or ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to work with state and manufacturer specifications while using electronic diagnostic tools. Must have own tools and a strong customer‑focused attitude.

Qualifications

• State Safety Inspection License required (PA)
• Pennsylvania Emissions Inspection License is a plus
• Ford certification preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain Ford certification
• ASE Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical and mechanical concerns
• Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately
• Stay current with new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer training
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, management, and fellow technicians
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

What You’ll Do

As a Truck Technician, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel vehicles while providing the quality workmanship our customers expect.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine, electrical, and mechanical concerns
• Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
• Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately
• Stay current with new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer training
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, management, and fellow technicians
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of automotive or truck technician experience preferred
• Pennsylvania State Safety Inspection License required
• Pennsylvania Emissions Inspection License is a plus
• Ford certification preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain Ford certification
• ASE Certification preferred
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, engine repair, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have your own tools
• Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail
• Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to continue learning
• Dependable team player who works well with others
