Job summary

Autoneum Holding AG is seeking a tooling engineer to develop concepts and specifications for prototype and production tooling, while supporting product development teams and manufacturing plants.

The role requires active design, cost estimation, and hands‑on tooling experience, with a focus on compression molding and continuous improvement across tooling functions. Travel to plants and tool shops may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree preferred but not necessary.
• Must be familiar with automotive related component drawings and math data files.
• Experience with compression molding, tool design, cost estimation and tool building desired.
• Solid understanding of the manufacturing process and hands‑on experience.
• Project management experience and compression molding experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop tooling concepts and specifications for prototypes and production tooling.
• Design concepts and develop specifications for tooling and support product development teams and manufacturing plants.
• Track tooling program progress and manage tooling design and build process.
• Assist in tooling budget management and cost control.
• Support engineering changes and continuous improvements across tooling domains; oversee suppliers.
