Qualifications

• Familiarity with systems software pertaining to automotive servicing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and visually inspects vehicles to determine tire service needs and materials.
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services.
• Installs valve stems and TPMS as required; mounts tires and inflates as needed.
• Tests tire balances to ensure proper weight placement.
• Conducts short road tests to verify proper installation.
• Reviews service with the customer and ensures quality work.
• Complies with Quality Control, Safety policies, OSHA and EPA regulations.

Job Summary

Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed


• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services


• Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required


• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement


• Performs short road test to ensure proper installation


• Reviews service with customer


• Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience


• Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing
