Tire Pros in Gypsum, CO seeks a Tire Technician to perform tire repairs, replacements, balancing, rotations, and TPMS work on a day-to-day basis. You will ensure high-quality service and safety standards while supporting customers and teammates in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
• Knowledge of tire and auto service processes.
• Familiarity with Mitchell Repair and All-Data is preferred.
• Certifications: SEMA preferred; ATS 200 level a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and visually inspects vehicles to determine tire service needs.
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services.
• Installs TPMS and mounts tires on wheels; inflates as required.
• Tests tire balances to ensure proper weight placement.
• Conducts short road tests to verify proper installation.
• Reviews service with customers; adheres to Quality Control and Safety policies.

Job Summary

Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
• Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
• Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
• Reviews service with customer
• Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
• Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing
• Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data
  • Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
  • Certifications:
    • SEMA certification preferred
    • Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200. Level 300 or 400 level a plus
