Job summary

Charlotte Tire Pros is seeking a tire technician to perform a range of tire services including repairs, changes, balancing and TPMS procedures. Great growth and career opportunities are available in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma or vocational training with tire service experience and knowledge of related auto systems. Training, competitive compensation and top-tier benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience.
  • Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed.
  • Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
  • Installs valve stem and TPMS as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
  • Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
  • Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
  • Reviews service with customer
  • Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

  • Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
  • Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
  • Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
  • Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
  • Reviews service with customer
  • Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations
Desired Qualifications
  • High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
  • Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data
  • Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
Certifications
  • SEMA certification preferred
  • Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200. Level 300 or 400 level a plus
