Job summary

Southern Tire in Metairie, LA is seeking a reliable Tire Technician to join our trusted local shop. You’ll safely mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires on cars and light trucks, inspect and repair damaged tires, and perform routine maintenance while upholding strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation to get to work.
• Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting.
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires for cars and light trucks.
• Inspect, assess, and repair punctured or damaged tires.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance including fluid checks, filter replacements, and oil changes.
• Maintain a clean, organized bay and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

We are looking for an energetic, reliable Tire Technician to join our growing shop!

What You’ll Do:

• Tire Services: Safely mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires for cars and light trucks.
• Repairs: Inspect, assess, and repair punctured or damaged tires.
• Maintenance: Perform basic preventative maintenance including fluid checks, filter replacements, and oil changes.
• Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean, organized bay area and strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable Transportation to get to work
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
• A strong focus on safety, great teamwork, and a positive, customer-first attitude.
