Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Chicopee, MA seeks an Automatic Assembly, Set Up & Operate candidate to set up and operate the automotive timing chain assembly line, perform changeovers, and adjust line to meet work standards.

You will apply QC methods to maintain quality and follow instructions from the supervisor. The role involves preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, recording data, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
• 2-5 Years of experience running multiple machines and performing preventative maintenance

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use material handling devices such as hand trucks, and hydraulic lift trucks.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet.
• Apply oil or grease to specified areas and confirm operability of all detectors.
• Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand alarm messages and corrections.
• Operate assembly line machines: roller link, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, endless operation, washing, final inspection, packing.
• Maintain production schedules, quality control records, chain assembly records, shipping charge numbers, and traceability records.
• Prepare test samples for quality control per work standard and record production data.
• Utilize a machine-monitoring system to record downtime.
• Detect faulty operation or defective material and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
