Job summary

Snap-On Tools seeks a Temp/Contract tester to support testing of vehicle communication systems for up to 9 months. The role may involve field testing at independent shops, auto dealerships and auctions or in-house work as required by the project.

You will record test details daily on standardized forms, update test matrices, and input data into bug tracking software. Strong communication and basic PC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent automotive diagnostic experience using scan tools.
• Experience with computer data entry.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using basic word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Basic computer user knowledge.

• Maintaining good working relationships with field test sites.
• Identifying additional test sites when possible.

Overview

This is a Temp/Contract position up to 9 months.

Performs vehicle communication systems testing, logging test coverage and product defects. This testing activity may take place in the field (at Independent Shops, Auto Dealerships and Auto Auctions) or in house dependent on the requirement of the project.

KEY TASKS

Perform in-field vehicle application testing for new products / primaries.

• Daily updating test matrices with tested vehicle information.
• Daily data entry into bug tracking program.
• Taking recordings of vehicle data when required by the project.

REQUIREMENTS

• Recent automotive diagnostic experience using scan tools
• Experience with computer data entry
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using basic word processing and spreadsheet software
• Basic computer user knowledge

Preferred:

• AA degree in Automotive Technology
• 5 year experience as an automotive repair technician
• Database data entry experience and general database knowledge
• Automotive diagnostic software development or testing

This is a Temp/Contract position up to 9 months.

This position has an hourly rate between $30.00 - $38.00
