Job summary

Aleron is seeking a Production Technician in Hood River, OR to test, troubleshoot, inspect, and validate automotive components. You will work hands-on with motors, inverters, engines, and boards, using electrical test equipment and precision tools to identify issues and verify operation.

Typical schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Employment starts as a 9–12 month contract with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with motors or inverters.
• Understanding of ISO Quality standards related to manufacturing and ability to use precise measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Strong understanding of tooling relationships to metal compounds.
• Works with minimal supervision and follows instructions, safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and evaluate work requests, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures related to automotive components.
• Perform functional and diagnostic testing of automotive products including motors, inverters, engines, transmissions, and related assemblies.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Test and troubleshoot circuit boards, wiring, sensors, and related components to identify failures and root causes.
• Inspect and measure components using calipers and micrometers to ensure quality.
• Follow test procedures and document results, failures, and root causes accurately.
