Job summary

Magna Electronics in the United States is seeking a Test Engineer to maintain and develop In-Circuit Test and Flying Probe programs for complex PCB assemblies. You will work with test technicians and engineers on strategies for new products, analyze test data, and help implement continuous improvement across QA and manufacturing.

The role requires strong problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with automated test equipment; travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in related automotive manufacturing testing.
  • Experience with automated test equipment and PCB testing.
  • Knowledge of cyber security preferred.
  • Understanding of FPY, FMEA and DFMEA.
  • Proficiency in C#, Python or VB.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle test fixtures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop In-Circuit Test programs and Flying Probe.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineering on test strategies for new products.
  • Generate reports and analyze test data.
  • Review circuit designs for testability.
  • Lead and coordinate testing equipment development and calibration.
  • Travel to support manufacturing as needed.
  • Provide training to production testing staff.
