Job summary

Magna Electronics is seeking a Test Engineer to maintain and develop In-Circuit Test programs, Flying Probe systems, and board/device level programming. You will work with test technicians, operators, and engineers to optimize testing, troubleshoot failures, and drive test strategy for new products.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering or related field, with 5+ years’ experience preferred. Familiarity with cyber security and FPY/DFMEA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering or related field.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience in related field.
• Experience in automotive/manufacturing with electronics background preferred.
• Knowledge of cyber security.
• Understanding of analog and digital testing.
• Familiarity with FPY, FMEA/DFMEA, and related metrics.
• Programming in C#, Python, VB.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work with test fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop new and existing In-Circuit Test programs, as well as Flying Probe and board/device level programmers.
• Collaborate with test technicians and operators to support testing and troubleshooting of PCB assemblies.
• Work with engineering on development and test strategies for new products.
• Generate test data, analyze results, and report findings to stakeholders.
• Provide training and guidance to production testing staff and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
• Travel occasionally as required by business needs.
