Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Description

1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer policies.
3. Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems using Kia diagnostic tools and strategies.
4. Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a good customer experience.

All employment opportunities are with independently owned Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time positions with a Kia Retailer, not directly with KUS or ERS. Employment is subject to applicable laws and regulations. Kia and ERS do not guarantee employment through this program; decisions are at each Retailer's discretion based on eligibility, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record
• Experience in a technical/mechanical field
• Willingness to pass drug screening and background checks
