Job summary

Capitol Subaru in San Jose, CA is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and maintain paperwork for customers and records. You will work with Service Advisors to ensure customers are informed of needed services and maintain high standards of guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of automotive diagnosis experience, ASE certification is a plus, a DMV check is required, and willingness to participate in in-house training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of automotive diagnosis and problem-solving experience.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• X-Time/CDK experience is a plus.
• DMV Check required.
• Willlingness to participate in in-house training.
• Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Learn new technical information to stay proficient in diagnosis and repair.
• Maintain legible paperwork for customers and records.
• Communicate with Service Advisors to inform customers of needed services.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, etc.
• Execute work on the repair order per dealership policies.
