Job summary

Capitol GMC in California is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect and repair vehicles, perform multi-point inspections, and support our service team in delivering a world-class guest experience.

You will diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, and other systems, while maintaining accurate paperwork and clear communication with Service Advisors. Salary ranges from $33.00 to $90.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years automotive diagnosis experience.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.
• DMV check required.
• Willingness to participate in in-house training.
• Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in automotive repair.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components with diagnostic tools.
• Communicate with Service Advisors to inform customers of needed services.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, braking, etc.).
• Complete repair orders with accurate paperwork.
