Job summary

CJ's Tire & Automotive in West Chester, PA is seeking a trainee automotive technician to learn tire services, oil changes, battery installations, maintenance, and multi-point inspections following established company policies. Our goal is for the trainee to gain knowledge and experience to work independently and become a successful automotive technician.

You will work with fellow associates as a team to provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and handling stressful situations.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Performs tire services, battery installations, oil changes, maintenance services, and multi-point inspections noting vehicle conditions.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Collaborate with team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned by the store Manager.

To provide timely and error-free tire and Automotive services following established company policies and procedures. Our goal is for this trainee to gain knowledge and experience needed to work independently and become a successful automotive technician.

Key Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs tire services, battery installations, oil changes, maintenance services, and multi-point inspections notating conditions that exist on vehicles.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Work with fellow associates as a team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Any additional duties assigned by the store Manager.

Qualifications: Experience / Education / Other Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Have a valid drivers' license, acceptable driving history and access to reliable transportation
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to at least 50lbs, often repetitively.
• Must be able to adapt to severe climate variances.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
• Candidates must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screenings.
